159 jtd problem (fuelpump?)
The problems started for me with the car sometimes dies when driving along, but only for a brief moment, then suddenly all the power was back. I first thought it was the EGR-valve so I opened it and, well it was pretty messy, so I cleaned it and thought I have solved the problem.
But no, it went bad sometimes anyway.
But then one day the car really died, you couldt get it over 3000rpm. So I took it to a workshop and the problem showed to be bad diesel. The fuelfilter was clogged and so on.
The car work when we changed the filter.
After this the car worked fine for some time, about 2 weeks, but then the problem was back again, but this time a bit different. I can go out, start the car as usual, and then when i have driven like 25 meters it just looses all power and you cant even get it above 1000rpm, it just stands there. No matter if the car is warm or cold (engine heater) or how the weather is. And after some time when you have tried with the throttle to get it over 1000rpm it can slowly start to make its way up to 3000rpm and then after that it wakes up, and you can drive as usual. Always the same, when the car has been still, easy to start, but direclty when you drive away it can loose all power and then you just sit and gas until you finally get it over 3000rpm and it works again.
Could this be something with the injectors or the fuelpump from my problem with bad diesel? The diesel i got in my tank was like a mud in the bottom (from my sample).
When the car dies the turbo pressure is zero, could it be some sensor or something for the turbo?
EDIT: The tank and pipes has been cleaned, and also I have a new fuelfilter but I got the same result today, the car is easy to start but after like 50 meters it just dies and i have to wait until he finally show me some lifesigns and i can drive away. It all starts after like 3000rpms, then it works fine for as long as i drive.
