Something to check. Make sure that when you lock the car you do so with one stab of the button or your keys are placed somewhere where the buttons cannot be pressed and held. Holding the lock button down rather than pressing it once will lock the car and then power down the windows after a second or two. Watched my wife do it last year, as she walked away from my Brera (yeah I know, what is she doing driving it!) and jammed the keys in her handbag, something pressed the button and both windows went down. Not uncommon on 159's and Breras.

Ex 164QV, 145QV, 156 2.0TS Modifica, 159Ti, Maserati Ghibli GT.....sob, I want it back mummy Brera S Modifica

Assuming you don't keep sitting on the remote and operating the windows, look for water in the door switches or a faulty window controller.

My 159 use to do that while driving, the windows would automatically go down without anyone pressing the control. Rang up local ALFA Service centre, they told me to follow this procedure:

1. Close all the windows
2. Lock the car
3. Unlock it
4. Turn the ignition on
5. Attempt every window, by putting them down and holding the switch down for 10 secs, then put the window back up.
6. Do this for every window.

Worked for my car, if that doesnt work then disconnect the battery and re-connect it.

Salute, Giordano.
