thanks for the responses guys... very helpful.
for what it's worth I had a mondeo once that belonged to a director of fords (is this one an alfa directors ?), it was a superb car, low mileage, all the whistles and bells I got a real bargain, they wouldn't give a lemon to one of their bosses would they ? I was told that they change cars every 6 months and I believe it, this motor was pristine, if this is the same deal I would have to recommend serious consideration
yep, that's what i was thinking (director = not a lemon) but then i also wonder if some alfa director is going to thrash the thing around.
i will try and dig up more details on previous owner/driver.
There might be a clue in the steering wheel being on the left and the car being in France where they have Progression and Distinctive specs rather than Lusso etc., and Ti was an Option Pack.
Consequently the car won't conform to UK specs. It isn't a full Ti because it has no side skirts, but has Ti steering wheel, seats and by the look of it, a black headlining. It does look a bit lower than it should however.
My guess would be that it is a 159 1.9JTDm Distinctive with a Ti Option pack or some special edition like the UK LE. There were also "Sport" and "Elegante" models - seen briefly in UK in 2009 so it may be some Euro version of one of those.
Where is Nev when you need him?
i think you are probably spot on about it being a 1.9 jtdm distinctive with a TI pack. unfortunately i haven't found a euro-equivalent of this forum to try and get specific info on what the factory suspension should be on a 2008 D + TI, because the look of the rear is really bugging me...
attached are a few more photos in case they help with any further detective work....
Hi and welcome to AO
It's hard to say for sure but it looks to me like part TI (sport specification) and part Lusso
Those look like TI seats and pedals but I can't tell of other details - is there red stitching on the steering wheel and gear knob? Do the aluminium door sill kickplates say 159 TI on them? If so then it would be a factory spec' TI model.
However, my impression from the exterior is of a Lusso because of the wheels and suspension or perhaps a TI that has downsized its wheels to 18"? The wing-mirrors seem white as well which I believe used to be an option on the TI but standard on Lusso.
Mileage v. Price seems about right but would depend largely on the correct spec'! Does it say anything in the log book/service history etc?
good call on the little details. i suppose it probably won't exactly match any of the UK models/trim-levels but knowing to look out for the stitching, kick plates, etc, will hopefully help me track down exactly what euro model it is....
will post up findings tomorrow... thanks again guys.
