87K miles on my 1.9 diesel, had to clean it at 80K ish, and again last week at 87K. Added the modified gasket on the second clean to hopefully keep it a little cleaner, heres wishing....

Driving very smoothly a the moment, fingers crossed.

Was my fault for the second clean, got carried away with spray lube on the internal spring/valve mechanism on the first clean. This just acted as a catalyst for the soot, gunked up the valve seat and caused it to stick. Cleaned it with carb cleaner, and only greased the external spring near the solenoid this time..... You live and learn.

Moved over to the dark side

And loving it

Do you leave the 3mm hole open afterwards, or plug up with something?
Sorry to bring up and old thread but what happens to the hole?
