It was at a garage sort of near me and we went out for a drive so I made sure we'd be in the vicinity to have a look.
Got there and the place was actually open so asked if I could have a look around, they opened it up and the alarm went off forever. Couldn't get it off, car wouldn't start as battery was dead because it had been stood some time.
Whilst the alarm was going off I had a good look around it and had a sit in and have to say I came away a bit meh!
I test drove a GT and a Brera years ago back to back on the same day and one thing I remembered from the Brera was that the seats were like slabs that you sat on rather than sit in. I was kind of hoping that this might not be the case with a car that had done 50K but it appears not as I still felt like I was sat on a plank rather than in a nice cosseting seat.
I found the interior a bit bland as well, especially the centre console, and I have to be honest when I say I hate the way the steering wheel looks.
I'm now conflicted as I'd sold it to myself based on a ticking of the boxes but now I've sat in one I feel it may not be the right car for me.
Do the newer ones have better seats? I know the Special Edition and S Brera's had a different styled seat.
Should I be upping my budget to try to go for a newer car?
P.S. the car in question is currently the cheapest grey one on autotrader, it's a bit tatty cosmetically and doesn't look loved as there are scuffs and small impressions all around the drivers cockpit. Paint looks pretty good but a front fog was smashed and one of the alloys looked like the paint was 'wearing off' weird
