Help Auto opening of door mirrors on ulocking the car

Hi all, trust Christmas has been good, heres to the new year and as a new owner getting the roof off my alpa.

Can you help. When i lock the car the door mirrors fold in, when i unlock they don't and stay folded until the fob goes in the ignition. This is ok however on my last car it did what i an asking and so at a glace i could tell if mirrors folded car is locked

Looked in manual but can't find info. Cheers Nigel

They fold as described, or not at all as far as I knew....

You can turn the folding function off by pressing the mirror button down for 2 secs. turning back on is the reverse.

But this is the only option it seems.

As they were a bit reluctant in the freezing conditions when covered in ice I turned mine off to avoid risking damage.
