How to remove fog lamp on my 159?

Here's the result of my Christmas driving (stone chip)

Is there an easy way to remove the fog lamp without removal of bumper etc?

Please dont quote me, but I thought i read somewhere on here, that it was a case of popping the plastic surround out.... If so, a potentially quick fix. If its a bumper jobby, personally I don't have the patience!!

Have a search through the forums...

On the Brera the plastic surround needs to be pushed out (I assume from behind), then there should be a couple of exposed screws/nuts.

I removed mine by hitting a pheasant when the car was doing 85 mph :-(

I have already searched, but found info on Breras only. No 159 cases. As you can see, the bumper on the 159 is different although lamp is identical...

there is a way but dont ask me how. Jamie replaced my fog lights when he was changing my brakes and he definitely did not remove the bumper. very reasonably priced too

Both my fog lights are smashed. I do a lot of motorway driving and to be honest when it comes to winter some of that grit is stone size and when your doing 70 plus and someones wheel in front fires it towards your fog lamp = smash. I refuse to replace them because every winter they get smashed. I think the fog lights as a whole unit are around 50. I just drive around with them smashed as they are weak as hell.

Actually look here
Thats pretter cheap i was quoted 50 each !!

If you want to reduce the likelihood of this happening, I can recommend Armourfend. Usually applied to bodywork but they also supply light protectors for rally cars. I've used them on my cars as they are cheap, effective, easy to apply and virtually invisible.
