I bought the black Alfa 2.4 Q4 in the link in Elfred's post.
I have been looking for a 159 2.4 for probably 3 months. My preference was for a Q4 and I just kept checking the adverts regularly. I saw a black 2.4 Q4 at Veloces 57 plate for IIRC £15,500 at ? the end of October, too expensive for me .
Then 3 came up in a short space of time at the end of Nov/ beggining of Dec. There was a grey Q4, the black Q4 that I bought and a red Q4 that is still on Autotrader at Platts.

Is it this one?

What I will say about my 159 is that I am very very impressed with my Alfas performance. Its overtaking ability (torque) is amazing and puts a big smile on my face whenever I utilise it to effortlessly pass sometimes three or four cars in a row
It is a very capable car.
In my opinion, the 4X4 just gives you a bit more stability when pushing on through corners, and also from a standing start, there is no wheelspin
I had previously test driven a 1.9 diesel 159, but not a 2.4, and so cannot make a direct comparison between the 2wd and the 4X4 2.4.
