2.4 JTDM Timing Belt Change

Hi Guys,

I've a SPiDER tuned 2.4L JTDM.

The recommended changing time in the manual is 150k Km (approx 93k Miles). However, I've just noticed on documentation from my Irish main dealer that the Timing belt needs to be changed every 60k Km (approx 37k miles)!

What's the reason for this - I bought the car thinking it's a pity that it didn't have a timing chain, but having to change a timing belt every 37k Miles!

I've now 66K Km on the clock and expect the Timing belt to go any minute - What do ye think?

Any Irish 159 owners change at pre 60K Km?

Do Irish Alfa's have chocolate Timing Belts or is it a money racket?
