Running rough

Got a 159 2.4 jtdm. As title says its running rough, you can hear it and feel the vibration occasionally when idle. Its 5 years old now and the glow plugs have never been changed so i think i'll get all 5 changed and see if that is the issue. My main question is labour time to fit glow plugs ?? Anyone have an estimate. I dont want to get ripped off.

Glow plugs will have zero contribution to rough running, they are only to assist in reducing cold cranking.

Brera S

I'd get something like some Millers Diesel Power Ecomax.

I had slightly rough idling and it's now much better since I've run though a few tanks of diesel using this stuff.

Possibly just the injectors that need a clean out...

It's only about 10 quid a bottle off eBay and will do you for around 8 to 10 visits to the petrol station, so not exactly an expensive thing to try!

They also do a one shot boost which may be worth doing to get you started, then make it a regular thing.

"Think of it as Angelina Jolie. You’ve heard she’s mad and eats nothing but wallpaper paste. But you would, wouldn’t you?” Jeremy Clarkson on the Brera
