Another clutch burning smell thread...
Noticed this a few times now, yesterday was the most significant.
Was reversing up a clients drive, which was on a hill. Not that major, but i suddenly started smelling burning rubber type smell.
I got a bit worried and parked down the road to avoid any further damage!
The smell lingered for hours. I left the car, came back 3 hours later, and the stink was still in the car. Eventually left after ventilating it on my way home.
I've noticed the smell once before when reversing on my drive, which is a tiny tiny incline.
Looking at other threads in the forum, this seems not uncommon.
But my question is, should I be worried, do I need a new clutch, or is it just a warning to be careful when reversing up hill?
