Useful tip from specialist - Power Steering

I took my newly purchased Brera in for a checkup at my local specialist.

Particularly given some of the concerns on here re: power steering rack.

Luckily mine makes no funny noises and no play in the rack, but he did something I don't recall seeing in here.

He placed an extendable magnet on a wand in the power steering fluid reservoir (cap off), left it to idle for around 3 minutes and then twisted the steering wheel to get the fluid moving around.

Then he pulled out the magnet to check for any metal filings, a completely dead PS rack often has a massive build up on the end of the magnet...mine only had 2 microscopic grains. Not only a good check, but certainly cant hurt removing filings running around all the seals.
