Help Clicking clutch on my Alfa 159 2.4 JTD (210)

I am experiencing a series of clicks from the clutch as I press it. If I press the clutch down quickly then the clicks are minimal if non existent but in normal use the clutch may click 5 or 6 times until it is fully pressed down. The noise seems to be coming from the clutch pedal. The car has covered 28,500 miles.

Could this just be a lubrication fix????

Many thanks for any help.

Sounds like the same problem we GT 1.9JTDm boys have been complaining about for years. Duff design from Alfa, live with it I am sorry to say!

I had this on my 2007 159 for the last 6 months.. there was a slight click when releasing the clutch..

But today I was changing from 2nd to 3rd and when I left go of the clutch the pedal stayed down on the floor! I had to use my toe to pull it back up again to find 3rd gear and so forth... after around 10 gear changes the pedal returned to normal operation but the clicks now are very loud.

It feels like the pedal 'lever' system is snagged or some plastic part is interfering with the operation of the pedal as the noise is defo under the dashboard close to the firewall. I'll have to look at this tonight.... Fingers cross it's not actual clutch related.. I got the feeling to change the clutch is a right knuckle grazing effort on this car...

Why is it always when the weather is crap and the dark winter nights are closing in do cars start to go wrong

Out of interest anyone change the clutch themselves yet on their 159?

Mine has started making a creaking noise again after the dealer attempted a fix for the second time.
I'm afraid it is a common problem

Mine did, then it didn't, then it did it again, then it stopped, started again and now I don't give a ship.
