Definitely makes me happy to see how safe the 159 is (and glad to hear the guys got out without serious injury). I personally don't have any issue with the cars weight.
I can believe that the 159 V6 Q4 is going to be heavier due to the four wheel drive system etc. But on this article they were comparing similar spec models (159 1.9 JTDm). I'm sure all manufacturers follow guide lines when publishing figures for their cars, for example fuel consumption and I guess it's the same for weight. And in this case it was the magazines own information that contradicted it's verdict. Just seems as they are running out of excuses to place the Alfa in last position.
As bcampbell74 said Tiff Needles complained that "the gearbox is too notchy!" and if I remember correctly he didn't like the shape of the gear knob. Hardly solid foundations to put a good car down.
An article in Top Gear magazine stated that the new Giulietta was built well, nice materials, handled great, was comfortable, great engine then ended with a negative saying the car had lost some of that Alfa soul that makes them so special. Poor Alfa can't win.
