I haven't been up-to-date with current events and only recently came to know about the merger between Fiat group and Chrysler.
I know that Alfa sources the powerplants from GM for the 159, etc... but with the recent merger, are we going to see power plants from Chrysler instead??
All this talk about Alfa models being sold in US under Chrysler brand is kinda funny if you think about it. Chrysler has to sell a car with a GM engine in it...

Chrysler doesn't have the best reputation of building reliable cars. Come to think of it, neither does Alfa. But where Alfa makes up for the unreliability in terms of noise, performance and sheer driving thrill, Chrysler's cars have pretty much been dreary, slow and boring...
The only decent set of vehicles in Chryslers lineup are the Jeep 4x4s, Dodge Viper, Challenger, Ram and Durango. And thats because of the earthquake sounding Hemi engines.

The Chrysler Pentastar V6 is destined to be reworked for the future Alfa Romeo Giulia (2012-ish)

Alfa won't be selling GM-engined cars in the US - or indeed anywhere else very soon, as the last Brera/Spider/159 with the 2.2 and 3.2 JTS engines run through the system.
