Do i have to drill a hole to apply these screws or the chassis is already prepared to this?

I fitted mine with a black bodykit type glue allong the top of the sill and used the arch liner screws and plastic plugs to hold the skirts at the end. I dint fancy using the glue they sent me.
There still well and truely stuck after a year and a half
