159 Break Down
Having a few issues with my 159 2.4 - about 6 weeks ago it went into limp mode with the check engine warning light coming on as well as glow plugs not available.
It was towed into my local dealer (Motorvogue) who had it for a few days and then returned it to me working fine. They didn't really give any details as to the repair but said they had checked and cleaned a few connections and reset it.
It happened again today exactly the same today, limp mode, check engine, glow plug warning lights. AA came out again, the only difference this time was that the traction control, ASR and hill start control all flashed up as not available.
I have read a lot about the DPF/EGR issues but I'm not sure its that as 1) It appears to be electrical and 2) I drive it like I stole it most of the time and barely get 30 mpg on my regular 30 minute + commute.
When the car is good its great - the only day to day issue I have is that it doesn't start brilliantly and sometimes needs a second go to get going...
Can anyone offer any suggestions/their own experiences as to what the problem could be?
Any help appreciated...
