After 15 months of serene peaceful driving in the 159, all is beginning to go pear shaped.
The car is slowly getting more and more noisy over anything other than glass like tarmac. Considering the state of the roads in our blessed country, the glass like tarmac is almost non-existant, so the noise is all but constant!
There was a rattle many miles ago, this was traced to the inner wheel arches rattling against the wing, this was easily sorted.
Now it seems to come from driver and passenger side, in the door pillars, the seat belts, the suspension and the under side/tray. I have no idea where to begin to try and trace these rattles. I can only describe the sound as a piece of lose trim knocking against the body, or rather, many pieces of lose trim!
The suspension was all fine at the last service, 72K, the car is now on 83K. Brakes are good with no problems, new rear pads a few miles ago.
There is nothing visually obvious to see/report.
So any suggestions as to what to look for??
Being a bit of a perfectionist it is driving me mad. The rest of the car is superb, engine, interior etc.. It is just the sound of a car falling to pieces.......help.......
