Chris Variava gave me almost the exact same response - only if the PS is excessively noisy will they change the fluid, and thean only if the owner asks.
The problem seems to me to be not the approach itself, but that none of the dealers has it's own opinion, they seem to follow the ARUK line like sheep, either without an understanding of whether the fluid itself is a problem or a lack of willingness to explain to the concerned customer exactly what is going on. I am prepared to accept that red fluid (mine has it) is not necessarily a system killer itself but I can get no rationalised explanation for the different fluid, especially when they do see a change as relevant, but only after the PAS is playing up!
The only bulletin on PAS they mentioned was with a certain batch of reservoirs where the baffle inside could come loose and restrict flow, causing the fluid to froth up and leak everywhere. fix was a replacement reservoir.
