Right! I went ahead and got the Eibach Pro springs done yesterday. They were sold out everywhere but Lombarda managed to get hold of some. Had 4 wheel alignment done too.
First impressions are I am very pleased that it has not lost ANY ride comfort in town. In fact I am now finding that it goes over speed bumps better - you can fly over them without it grounding out.
Next big difference is that on braking and acceleration the nose does not pitch up and down anywhere near as much. Stays flatter, and I think this actually makes it a bit more comfortable too.
On the motorway there is increased vibration, but you don't notice it until about 90+ on an older surface, and then I mostly noticed the vibration coming through the head rest. On newer roads like the M6 toll it is still smooth as a baby's bottom at very high speeds.
There is more feel through the steering wheel and pedals, can better feel what the road surface is like and what the tyres are doing. This should inspire more confidence in the corners, which I feel has been lacking.
I haven't had a chance to corner really hard yet, but it does already feel more taut in the corners, in a good way.
So overall I'm pleased. It feels like a really good balance between a Brera and a Brera S, there's more feel and tautness but almost no loss of comfort.
Just up at Mangos having two new tyres and a replacement K&N fitted for my mod 4, I'll try to give it more of a test afterwards but the roads are relatively busy which is a shame...
