159 "Change Engine Oil" warning
I have a 2 and a half year old 159 SW which had its 2 year service in March this year. Shortly afterwards, the "Change Engine Oil" warning started appearing every time I switched on the engine. I took it back to the Alfa garage and asked them about it and they suggested that it was the computer that had not been properly reset. They say they did that and nothing happened for a day.
The next day, the same warning reappeared. Before going back to the garage, I am wondering whether the problem is:
a) a sensor (don't know if Alfa's are this sophisticated) that is checking the engine oil and determining that it needs to be changed; or
b) it is a problem with the car computer and I need to get it looked at properly; or
c) something else?
I can live with the warning but I just don't want it to be a problem which actually damages the engine. Hope I am not over-reacting but I'd rather play it safe.
Thanks for any thoughts or help!
