I've used Gunson's Easibleed for years, using the Sud's spare tyre to provide the pressure because it's so light and can sit on the engine to provide the air pressure. Before I fix the kit on the master cylinder,I syringe the old stuff out and replenish with Tutela Top 4(which is synthetic and shouldn't be mixed with other types.)That way the fresh fluid gets to the bleed nipple faster.
I've just used it on our 147 to bleed the clutch because I suspected the dealer didn't do it thoroughly after the slave cylinder was replaced under warranty.Alarmingly the fluid that came out was a black colour,so I'm hoping the seals haven't gone again! Contrary to the eLearn I didn't need to remove the battery support,I accessed it by removing the MAF intake trunking.
Has anyone bled the clutch on the 159?I'm not convinced the dealer did it when they changed the brake fluid at 36000 miles.
