159 2.2JTS "Check Engine" Light
Ive had my car a couple of months now, and most 90% of the time when I start it up the light in the shape of an engine lights up, and the screen tells me to get my engine checked. Now its just been in for an MOT, and passed fine i might add, so while it was in they hooked it up to their computer and found several error codes which translated as:
Cylinder 1 was misfiring
Cylinder 3 was misfiring
The oil pressure was "improbable" (their words)
A measurement on the camshafts was less than the minimum allowed
Now, if all this was wrong with my engine, then i would notice, and my dad has driven the car too, and says it pulls fine. Theres plenty of power and no impression that there is anything wrong with the engine, and also, all the MOT emission tests were well within the limits. The mechanic was as confused as I was at this, so he was no help either...
Is it possible that one sensor could be throwing all these out? Ive heard it can be a stretched timing chain, but again, why would that result in all these errors coming up? Any ideas or help would be appreciated!
Also, on an unrelated theme, Im interested in the MOD4 from Mangoletsi. Ive heard it makes the cars sound like a Maserati, is this an exageration or the truth?
