Not good for people who haven't got a Brera or Spider already, but great for those of us that have them and keep them in good condition. I suspect these cars are going to become classics in a relatively short space of time simply due to rarity. Can only be good for residuals values.
A shame that we are not going to see a 1750TBi MA engine or a possible 3.5 V6 (Chrysler-derived) in a Brera/Spider. Still, there is plenty of modification that can be done on all of the existing engines!!
This is happening not because Alfa want to stop selling the Brera and Spider, but because they are manufactured under contract by Pininfarina. Pininfarina terminated the contract in 2009 as they were losing money, and the 2 year notice period ends next year.
