My name is Lawrence Whittaker and I am the Managing Director from Warranty Wise Insurance Services. I have decided to comment on this forum page relating to the 159 claim as there seems to be some confusion with the quality of the cover, which is somewhat concerning to myself and Quentin.
Firstly, I am proud to say that we offer the highest level of warranty cover available anywhere in the UK - bar none. The cover that we offer covers all mechanical and all electrical parts of your car, however there are 4 specific parts where we allow you to choose to add the cover. These are: airbags, air conditioning, sat nav and key and locks.
If you do not choose the appropriate cover, we simply cannot afford to pay out on a claim for one of the above items. Our warranty is one of the most expensive in the market place and that is because we pay out! However, you must make sure you select the cover that you need and all our staff are trained to ask you which additions you require. If you didn't select the key lock protection then I am afraid there isn't much we can do. This is not a ploy to stop you claiming, but a practical addition since our research shows that not everyone wants to cover their air con, airbags, keys or sat navs and they can choose not to and therefore lower the cost.
I am sorry that you have had a negative experience with us, but the cover you have is the best in the market place and when you own an Alfa, that's probably a good thing.
