just fine, thank you

I had a 159 2.2, have now a Brera 2.2 and recently had a 159SW TBi for a day.
I have to say I really wanted to hate the 1750 TBi, but it has its good points.
When driving the 2.2 (even in sporty fashion) on a free road it never feels underpowered, even in the mountains. But strangely - if I have to overtake someone, it sometimes does.
In such situations I was quite impressed with the TBi. After the turbo lag it pulls really strong.
Its sound in average conditions is a bit sterile. But at start-up or idling - surprisingly - it sounds a bit diesel-ish. And I actually quite liked the turbo sound at higher revs. That - despite this turbo sound - it doesn't rev as high as the 2.2 is no real disadvantage because the gearbox is geared accordingly (meaning: you can reach about the same speed in a specific gear with both engines (I checked that at least for 3rd gear)).
With the turbo lag and the strong power at middle revs the power delivery of the TBi feels a bit "messy" compared to the very linear 2.2.
159 vs Brera:
Apart from the looks every version has its drawbacks.
After 1 year the seats in the 159 developed a habit of deadening my legs / the MY08 Brera seats have very good side support.
The armrest in the 159 interfered a bit with my elbow during gear changes, so I had to lift the elbow to the side which then came close to the passenger.
And I have to say the rattles/squeaks from the frameless doors together with the hard suspension of the Brera annoy me at the moment quite a bit.
