When passing a fairly local Alfa dealership yesterday I noticed that they had a Brera Italia Independent sat inside, so just had to call in for a butchers.
On seeing it in the flesh for the first time I got the same feeling I got when seeing the Brera for the first time on its launch weekend back in April 2006. On that occasion I took delivery of one five days later. On this occasion I have spent the last twenty four hours mulling over how to get into an II fairly soon. It's bloody gorgeous and not at all like the blinged up matt black schiite that seems to be getting more common.

I would have thought such an unusual paint scheme would be difficult and expensive to have put right when such a thing happens, especially by your average PDR man.
So unless anyone can convince me that it's no more onerous than a 'standard' paint job to look after I'll not go anywhere near it.
