Kangaroo when cold...

Hi all, sorry to drag this thread up again after a couple of years, but we have problems with our 2008 Spider LE 2.2JTS and a search of the forums turned up this thread.

We bought the car at the end of September from Knutsford after an extensive search. We live in East Yorkshire, so it isn't that easy just to pop in when there are issues.

The car we bought had one lady owner, originally sold by the same dealer. It had 29k on the clock and had just had its second service. The only things it has been in for according to the dealer was refurb of alloys and new brakes in between that owner part-exing and us buying.

We had some starting issues with the battery a couple of weeks ago, which I fixed by getting a new battery.

The car is my wife's daily drive to work, and now the mornings are getting colder the car is terrible to drive for the first half a mile or so. It doesn't seem to be the hesitation thing, it just seems over revvy and kangaroos no matter how sensitively you drive the car.

It is the exact same thing that has been described in this thread, it only happens when cold. Has anyone got a definitive answer? Is it the induction system, it doesn't sound like Mod4 will help.

Problem is that if we take it to Knutsford there won't be a problem when they look as it will be thoroughly warmed up after a long motorway drive.

Any help much appreciated as it is really ruining what is otherwise a great car and driving experience.
