159 premature disc & pad wear
Hi all, is this normal? I've just had my 159 2.4d SW Ti serviced @ 24k miles, simple fluid & filter changes cost £600!! (at an Alfa dealer) Was told front discs and pads all round need changing and a caliper piston was seized...already! Dealer said caliper problem is a known thing, but discs pads etc...should have lasted 'til around 40-50k. They want £800 for parts, complained to Alfa UK and have been offered £100. This seems pretty poor to me. It's my first Alfa, which I adore, but the costs and wear seem to be extortionate.
Don't actually need the SW so think will swap for a Brera and will prob stick with a 2.4d. am unsure of the S & SV configeration, does this apply to the diesel or just the v6.
Comments would be appreciated.
