Above & Beyond Alfa Dealer - HWM Alfa Romeo
Firstly, apology's if this post is in the wrong place!
I want to share with you all my recent experience at an Alfa Romeo dealership in Surrey. I promise to keep this short and to the point!!
I'm sure most people here will agree that many alfa dealers in the UK are shockingly bad, be it customer service or otherwise. I except that there are some that are good, but, I found a fantastic alfa dealer in Surrey. They are HWM Alfa Romeo.
I recently bought an 07 Alfa 159Ti (2.4MJet) and with it had a few minor issues. One being a common issue (sudden power surge at low revsand rough running), a creeking clutch pedal & the light bulb on the cigar lighter not working.
I first took the car to an alfa dealer in Hemel Hempstead fo the above issues to be rectified under warranty and after numerous visits (any parts replaced, namely an EGR valve, clutch cylinder & an ECU update) the car still had the above mentioned issues.
I lost confidence in this alfa dealership as they had already worked on the car several times without being able to solve the issues. I therefore decided to give HWM alfa in Surrey a visit. Im glad I did.
I visited HWM on the "off chance" without any booking and I was able to speak to the mechanic straight away and was able to test drive my car with the mechanic. Within minutes, the issues were diagnosed and booked in for the following day to be rectified. And THEY ARE!
Turns out that the Cross Over Valve needed cleaning (was sticking during operation) and the Turbo Valve had to be replaced. In regards to the creeking clutch pedal, they found the clutch cylinder faulty (yes the one which was replaced already) and replaced it. Also, without any prompt from me, they found one of the front wishbone joints worn and replaced it under warrantly (how did the other dealer not find this?) I got the car back the same day and it drives like new and performs without any issues and the clutch pedal is smooth and quiet.
I strongly recommend HWM alfa in Surrey. Not only have they restored my confidence in alfa romeo, but I've found a place where I can feel confident in the knowledge that they actually do care about their customers and that they have a mechanic who knows his stuff. It an hours journey for me to get to them, but well worth it. Safe to say, I will be taking my Ti to them for servicing and eventually, when I come to part ex the Ti, I will be sitting down at HWM making a purchase.
Thank you HWM.
