The time has come to sell my beloved Brera S
Just a few thoughts on my first (but not necessarily my last) experience of Alfa ownership.
I'm still to think of a car that offers the same smiles per mile as the S does. Not only is it stunning to look at but the drive is awesome (I love how it just hangs on in the corners).
Alfa Romeo dealers seems to be VERY hit or miss. Blade (in Cheltenham) where I bought the car were great at sales but absolutely shocking in terms of after-sales service (avoid them if you can). Lookers (in Cardiff) however were very helpful and courteous. This seems to be the story for most people on here!
At the risk of sounding all Clarkson, there IS an indefinable quality about an Alfa that makes it a great place to be. On paper they aren't the best cars but in the flesh they are something else.
That said, the build quality (although much improved) could be better.
So I'll be sorry to see it go but changing circumstances mean it's time for something different (and, dare I say, boring).
I hope the next owner (whoever they may be) cherishes her as much as I have!
