Brera wiper arm rubbing on bonnet! Is this usual?

Iíve had my 06 Brera for nearly 1 month and have noticed that the wiper arm has a notch missing where itís been rubbing on the bonnet.

I have had to buy a touch up pen to touch up the bonnet but I think the wiper will just keep scraping the paint off! Is this a common problem?

I was thinking that my car might have the wrong arm on it or something as it clearly doesnít fit right!

Your help would be much appreciated

I have this very same problem on my 159Ti. Its booked in next week to sort it under warranty (including a bonnet respray). The service guy seemed to know exactly what I was talking about so I assume it's a common snag. Oh, and the have offered me an 8C as a loan car!

(erm....that last bit's not true, I was just dreaming out loud, lo l )

Alfaless :( BMW!

I sorted this by filing the chunk out of the wiper arm deeper and then touching in with paint - therefore no more contact with bonnet.
