159 Mud Flaps

Hi All,
Took the plunge(eventually) and got me a 159 JTDm Lusso 2008 in Alfa Red. Beautiful car to drive and to stand back and admire, leather seat, parking sensor, rain sensor and 18" wheels.

My question after reading all the story on 159 Red, what Mud Flag can I fit without spoiling the look? some after market or AR one?
Advise please.

I thinking about putting these on the brera to halt the spread of the road rash, still can't quite decide on the looks though.

Also can't seem to find any front ones on the brera accessories page. I'm assuming they're the same as the 159 on the front?

The AR ones are cool. I have them fitted on my 159 - 57 plate and I get loads of thumbs up. Aftermarket ones ain't good mate go for the originals AR

brera front mudflaps

Alfa don't do front flaps for the Brera! Don't think the 159 flaps fit too well looking at other posts/pictures.

Try these:
Partsworld-UK Online - Front mudflaps-Brera S

Thinking about getting some myself.

The one Spyder have are cool indeed. The thing is the sale guy did not recommand them? I might go back and try to get (free) if I can.
I have seen some after market ones but it is hard to envisage how they'll look once they are on the car?
Thanking you all for your replys.

I'm still trying to justify spending that sort of money on a bit of rubber and plastic. Had a quote this morning from the local dealer, 44.93+VAT for the fronts. Proper Alfa jobs, so should fit perfectly.
Offered me a 10% discount if I bought the rears as well.

What do those who have had them done think? Looking at Spyders photos above, they seem to intrude into the wheel arch design a lot.

But then I am sick of cleaning the car for it to be smoothered in much as soon as I drive off. Thsi has certainly got worse since I put the 18s on.

Moved over to the dark side

And loving it

I would recommend them to reduce the paint pitting on the rear arches. I Had the car from new and within 9000miles had quite bad pitting, after 20000mile it was really bad. Had the car resprayed and Flaps fitted. I have since done 5000 miles and so far there is no pitting. Think of the depreciation your saving on

fitted AR flaps all round and they look fine, doing a good job keeping the crud of the lower door panels and rear arches

Thanks for the feedback folks, after looking in the wallet it seems the answer has been made for me!
So far in May I have spent 506 getting the car sorted (air con, upper arm and tax). Will re-evaluate in June, mind you, the rear tyres will need replacing by then! Ahhhhh....where's the humanity......

It is only money after all....had a chat with the nice man from Mangos, they are on back order, so should be here for Thursday. I really must leave my cards at home.

Mind you, I still couldn't part with the 67.19 they wanted for the chrome exhaust trim. Gulp.

Will post some before and after shots when they arrive. Thanks for talking me into it!

It just looks so much better with it.....

Then you'll start looking at that blanking plate on the right hand side, realise it can be removed and start pricing up a duplex exhaust.....Hmmmm...niiiiiice 700+ for a 2.4 exhaust (it's only different from the dpf back so two silencers and a new centre pipe) or 500 odd for a sports exhaust, or maybe a bespoke stainless steel from longlife for 550....

I wonder what I'll get for fathers day......

Dude, I ordered the exhaust trim and it looks AWESOME!!!! I highly recommend that you pony up the cash

Infact, I think it looks WAAAAAAAAAY better than the one on the hot shot TI spec.

As I keep telling Mikey, he might have bigger boots, but I've got a bigger pipe!
