Wow what an awful experience.
I hope you don't think this is the norm though.
I have an '56 plate 159 i bought from a Midlands dealer a year ago, with an AR warranty and AA cover.
I had trouble with the steering as well, the electrics played up too.
My local Alfa dealer, who I did not buy the car from, wouldn't undertake the work even on
an AR warranty. Sturgess at Leicester were contacted and they were wonderful regarding
the warranty. My car was in and worked on within a couple of days, a courtesy car, '60 plate MiTo
supplied for two days and problem solved, even if it took them a while.
As for my local dealer, he has lost my trade forever.
Alfa UK contacted me as a follow up and discussed every issue I may have had.
I have now extended my warranty at a very cost effective price and cannot fault Sturgess
customer service or Alfa's follow up.
Please to see you are staying with the marque, you just seemed to pick up a bad 'un and
a crap dealer, but stick with it and I'm sure you will enjoy your motoring experience.
