Having sorted out my wonky steering today my car throws up the next challenge. This time seemingly simple and something even I can fix on my own......or so it seemed.
I got the 'rear brake light failure' message on the dash, even shows you which side of the car. No prob, a quick trip to Halfords and £4 later I have a set of shiney new bulbs.
So bulbs duly changed I start the car, only for the failure message to still be there.
Got the missis to check that the lights were working, and she confirmed they were.
So tried the old reboot method of fixing things, (turn it off and on again) still the same.
Whats going on, any ideas? A fuse perhaps?
As I said in my Going Straight thread, I dont have a lot of time to visit the dealers so a simple home fix would be a bonus.
As an aside, I noticed that he car doesnt tell me when the main headlights fail. Should it? or do they just assume that this is something you will notice anyway (unlike rear lights).
