Just passed the 40k mark in the Ti and thought i’d leave some feedback and my thoughts.
In total contrast to my last two 159’s this has been a real pleasure to own and drive. It has been near faultless with only one issue that lead to the AA coming to my assistance – a loose union on the pressure rail had worked loose, wouldn’t deliver enough fuel into the engine and limp home mode kicked in.
Touch wood, I’ve had no experience on this car with DPF clogging, injector problems etc as with both my last 159 units. The DPF sensor was modified to run at lower speeds (and revs) and seems to kick in more often – around every 300-400 miles of driving.
My tyre alignment was done at a very early stage of ownership and now I get around 18k miles until i need new front tyres. I have even wear across the tread pattern with no real loss in grip and turn-in.
Clutch started to slip on full boost so had this replaced at 36k miles. Considering the power I’m putting through (benchmarked with Mikeys previous Spider with the same mods at 270bhp) and the fact that’s its an ex-Alfa UK demo car, it’s lasted pretty well.
No issues with notchy gearbox as others have experienced
I’m running diesel V-power or Ultimate nearly all the time, with Miller additive and I’m getting an average of 36-37 MPG average. Laughably well below the published ‘official figures’ but not too horrific considering the output.
I’ve had every service done very early, with filters and oil changed each time. Not cheap but worth it for 40k+ miles of trouble free motoring.
The paintwork has stood up really quite well compared to many other reports on here. Yes, the inner arches are now down to the primer in patches and the bonnet has a few nasty stone chips, but again nothing major. No fading, no odd shades of red and very little swirling.
The Ti heated, powered, memory seats have been great so far. Little sign of wear, just comfy, easily adjustable and very supportive. The Ti steering wheel the same – no marking or signs of use.
The Ti silver pedals are starting to look worn. The clutch pedal rubber grips are starting to smooth off. Easy enough to change though.
The windscreen was changed over winter. Got stuck behind a gritter and a monster pebble cracked it all the way down. Was worried about the dreaded 'windscreen rattle' after replacement but nothing so far.
The rear-view mirror sometimes decides to ‘buzz’. A quick tap from the back seems to sort it for a few thousand miles.
Blue and Me has been OK. Not great but ok. Very dependent on the type of phone and connectivity. Voice dialing is a waste of time but the buttons all work fine and my conversations can easily be heard, no matter what warp speed I’m travelling at.
The CD player is recently deciding to go on strike. No pattern whatsoever. One day it plays fine, the next it hiccups for a few mins before settling down again.
Audio equipment is exempt from warranty after 1st year so no joy with a swap job.

So, all in all, a great car so far. More than quick enough, handles well and makes me smile every drive.
Such a shame that my experience was so badly soured by the previous two 159’s, a totally inept garage and a useless ARUK (at the time).
This Ti has (partially) renewed my love and faith in AR, with a lot of help from Mangos service team and especially John who have bent over backwards to keep my current 159 in tiptop condition.
Am currently looking to replace the 159 with something else. Been through the whole list (Merc C Class, 350 Cdi E Class Coupe, BMW 330d Coupe, Audi A5 3.0tdi, VW Golf GTI, VW Sirocco R. etc etc) and none of them are really ticking all the boxes as the 159 does in terms of pace, style, space and enjoyment.
Watch this space.
