Brera wiper problem

Hello all,

Im now the very proud owner of a Brera which i picked up on Friday. What a car, i love it!

I have seen something strange on the car, the wiper on the drivers side has a chunk filed out of it. When you put the wipers on the chunk fits on the bonnet and the paint is worn. It apperas that this has been done to stop the wipers hitting the bonnet.

Ive been to an alfa dealership in norwich and ordered some touch up paint.

Is this a common problem?

Yes, it is a common problem on Breras, mine had it, as did a previous 155. The wiper is actually rubbing on the bonnet hence the matching grooves. Need to get dealer to re-align the wipers as clearly the previous owner did not bother/was not aware of problem.

Can't you just pull the arm off and put it
back the spindle a couple of notches around?

Mine never had this problem. Probably a RHD issues.
