I have just had to replace the two front tyres on my 159. This is the second pair of front tyres, the first did 18K this set 15K, they were P Zero Rosso 225/50 17zr 98y. I really wanted to put Hankooks on, but cant get them at the moment, so doing a trawl on the t'internet, I found Dunlop Maxx TT at Kwik Fit 'on-line at £268 inc VAT for the pair fitted. I felt this was a good deal for a mainstream brand tyre that has had some great reviews.
Over the weekend on wet (very wet!) and dry roads they have performed well.
Out of interest, when I was doing my phone around, I mentioned to the Hankook supplier the difficulty in getting these tyres, and apparently the weak £ is making tyres more valuable in the Euro zone, this makes sense, as tyres are a lot dearer now than they were 12 months ago.
Someone said to me, "so whats so special about an Alfa Romeo then?" I told him, "If you have to ask, you wont understand".
