You are sooo ready for a 159 Mani - you clearly understand and appreciate beautiful cars
Prior to the 159, an S-type Jag (2.7 Twin turbo diesel) was my favourite steed; but I have to say, the 159 surpasses it in the 'soul' department and is now the favourite of all the cars I've owned.
Thanks John for your very kind words
i was going to go for the black XJ but being 27 it is pricey on insurance especially on the excess
and some are not so cheap but the more i see a 159 on the road the more i think its designed with thought who has not had a degree in art and design but is fluent in the language of design and art with no compromise.
My fav from the Jag range.... well to be honest if i had a big enough garage awill be an XF portfolio, stunning XKR, and if they ever make it, a new daimler XJ, all in British racing green and to complement my front driveway and character i'd definitely have the 159. unfortunately, i am very particular about colour, alloy and the design. my personal opinion is Italian cars always best in red with alfa's new chrome multi spoke alloys or the alfa signature alloys similar to the escort design in the early 90's (for some strange reason i use to call them the cola can alloys becuase i thought you could fit a cola can in those holes perfectly
as a car to live with and thoroughly enjoy it, i'd definitely have the XKR hard top. stunning drop dead looks, great engine noise, designed as a cheap thrills car when compared to Aston Martin and i'd would just rev the engine for the first 3 mins on the drive way and race off down the road with all that roar. Sometimes with cars its how it makes you smile outside and inside when you walk towards it and how it makes you feel happy and calm when you sit inside. I hear some people who are loyal to the german brands and i just hate the way they go on about
how its so reliable and engineered so well and then you laugh
and fire the missile by saying "yes, it safegaurds your money but its so boring to look at, it don't stir your soul when you look at it but just makes you want to vomit
that could a car design look so boring
Maybe later on in life i'd buy the XJ but for now i'd like to enjoy the experience of driving a 159 for its sincere gorgoeus looks and treach those German loyalist what a car should look like
and make you feel.
