Wow, check this guy out:
"Beauty is only skin deep",such phrase have long been said of a series of Alfa-Romeo products, unfortunetely.
Including current 159 sedan, almost all Alfa-Romeo offerings are generally crappy, unlike their romanesque beauty inside and out. Especially the efficiency of Alfa automatic(mainly ZF-made) feels very tepid and lethargic, with delayed slow-down and mundane response. In fact,I was once perplexed at Alfa-Romeo 159 Q4(3.2-litres) for its languidness. Her body is very hefty(up to 1.8-tonnes!) and automatic blunts her engine's lazy response. So she's all-sound with no urge,as former President Bush,in my opinion.
But the forthcoming Alfa-Romeo sedan, the Giulia weights below 1300kg! That's revolutional. Her agility will be retrieved,I hope. On the other hand, she would be FF,unlike some rumours of being FR(rear-drive),it's somewhat sorry for me.
I do hope the new Alfa sedan won't become a kind of a "glorified-Corolla" or an "artistic Ford Focus" from my heart!"
I'm not sure the Alfa-Owning/loving community should take such rubbish from someone who believes 'revolutional' to be a word, however if that intense light weight (how does he/she know that?) is in anyway true, the Guila should have huge agility!
I do hope, however, that after the Guila generation Alfa makes it's valient return to rear wheel drive. Then again, I guess Fiat will always want to run it from their own platforms to optimise production/development costs, in which case I can't see the company being rear wheel drive for many years (sigh). Anyone want to pitch together and buy Alfa Romeo from Fiat? :L
