what to look for in a 159

I'm going to see a 159 on Monday. It's a 2 year old 3.2 V6 Ti Q4 with 35k on the clock. ofc the guy says it's like new etc etc.

I've had a 156 2.4JTD for the last 4 years so I know (a little) of what I'm getting myself into but anyone have any advice on anything special I should look for?

Well I'll kick off what will probably be a longish list LOL.

Chipped paintwork to front bumper and also in front of the rear wheel arches.

Some of the earlier model build 159/Spider/Brera 3.2s had a problem with the shape of the fuel tank and apparently are difficult to fill to full due to a fault with how its shaped to accomodate the Q4.

Alfa came out with a replacement tank which can be installed under warranty.

Worth checking out if this applies to the car in question.

Look out for the inner wear on the front 19 inch tyres. Although this is a simple fix with a front toe alignment.... you want to be getting this done sharpish before you destroy the 200 a corner tyres!
