I was thinking Stillen braided hoses. I may check out Alcon...though. Compare some prices with those set ups as such because I really am not impressed with the Autodelta version one bit really!!!! of course high temp fluid is a must, perhaps Motul?
Whats your take on drilled, slotted or J-hook styled rotors on this beast?
Friends have used AP Racings J-Hooks on the GTR and they seem great for the track for sure but they are LOUD as hell with screeching problems to the point they have to use silicon graphite on the backside of the pads. Of course their choice of pads did not help one bit but its all compromise here and there from track to street as a DDriver.
Had Brembo as stock on my GTR as you would know and they are good but the rotors were really soft, practically like cheese and would have serious heat and stress cracks in them after a VERY short time. I have never owned a car before that has used SO many rotors in such a short period of time, even my older 928 s4 with uprated gear never went into that realm.
I dont know, just wanted to try to get as much organized before the car comes so I can just ask the dealership to place them on directly while its there, I'm sure they would do it as a freebee!
With the spoiler, I was thinking of getting that done in dry CF. There is a company here in Japan, which does some great work that is not hard on the pocket, although dry carbon is of course more expensive than WCF, so I may even go for that?
Also thought about A/Delta' Blower but not the whole kit...just the blower and related parts with the tuned ecu and mapping blah blah. But for shocks, midpipe, catback well that still in the distance yet. I was thinking of trying to get some shocks that would allow the car to be lowered for track and then raised again for street driving, A friends GTR had these the company of course only had kits for that car.
For the exhaust system as a whole, was thinking of deleting the mid cats (naughty I know) with just a formed straight pipe into the catback, which I have not chosen yet. Ive only just gotten rid of my GTR so know I have to familiarize myself with all thinks Brera...Again!
So any help is great guys.
Also...I HAD to get the Auto for the missus...wow, where the heck is my 'man-card' lol.
Also....I do not envy your UK roads one bit you poor buggers, must be a strife to really enjoy the car day by day without shattering your teeth over a pot hole of what ever.
Do a search for 'Alcon' as they do some excellent 330mm 4 or 6 pot set-ups. Also upgrade the fluid to 5.1 or higher, and change the hoses for braided and you'll have a firm pedal, with a good progressive bite and no fade.
Performance Brake and Clutch Heritage - Alcon Components
Grooved discs allegedly dissapate heat better, and also look nice
Brakes are not cheap, so you'll be looking from around £1200 - £2000 for a quality set-up.
Then there's the more common brands like
Brembo | Aftermarket Catalogue
Also worth considering AP Racing and Wilwood...
