I started this post last Feburary !!! my windscreen still creaks \squeaks ..been with 2 different alfa dealers to "fix" numerous times ..total of approx 26 days off the road. Not good enough. Dealers are appaling. They actually made it worse !! That along with all the other issues ( leaking rear light into boot, creaking B pillar, uneven tyre wear, appaling fuel consumption, rusting steering rack, , rear demister failiure, central locking failure to list some of the issues in last 12months since i got this "car" )I've lost faith in Alfa Romeo ...this is my 3rd Alfa ..and will be my last. Never again am I going to shell out my hard earned cash for something so badly put together. Alfa Romeo make make nice looking cars ...but as I have found out ..beauty is only skin deep !
This is only my opinion, so I donīt want to start any quest here.
What you are saying I find it very unfair. Yes, the 159 have little issues, but they are simply that. Littel
For some reason it is common knowledge that Italian cars/bikes are baddly put together and canīt reach the reliability of German or Japs.
I have two Aprilia MilleR. I put the **** out of them. No issues whatsoever. Before I had other bikes, both of them were form the biggest Jap constructor and both had engine problems. The maintenance care was the same.
Now I have a Alfa 159. No problems whatsoever. Ok, it eats tires, and squeaks a little from the windshield.
Before I had a Audi A6 Tip. Needed two gearbox. Now thats some important issue. After that I started thinking about a Porsche Boxster. Did some you guys already read some Boxster986/911 996 forum?? A lot of catastrophic faults to the engines. A lot of engines break. A lot of suspension issues.
Man, those are faults! Why nobody says, I will never buy a Porsche/Audi or Mercedes again when they have problems and when is an Alfa everybody says that??
They are only machines...And of course they all have issues..But some are much more serious...
Only my $2
