Hooraaaaaayyyyyy!!!! The Mito is going in for repair under warranty on the 28th June.
It's been a long road getting there - I first rang our local dealers and reported the problem with our 12 week old car in mid-March; thay faffed around with it for 5 weeks and needed chasing before they rejected it as a claim. The only way I made any progress was by then contacting AR in Italy. They haven't been exactly speedy themselves, but they have persisted (again, I think the problem was that the local dealers 'lost' the original photos/docs) and in the end, we've got the repair we felt we needed.
It's going to be in the workshop three days, apparently - wonder what the chances are of a courtesy car?
Anyway, good news, and we'll wait and see how it actually tuns out. My strongest advice would be to contact AR in Italy on the no I gave in an earlier post. I got the distinct impression the dealers really, really didn't want to have anything to do with it, and were very keen to blame AR (in our case they'd never even logged anything with AR, despite telling me it was AR who'd rejected the claim). I ended up thinking that perhaps the workshop manager was going to have to pay for it out of his own pocket,,,,,,,
