Recently noticed the Hill holder function on my Brera was not activating any more at the usual inclined routes I usually take on the way home tonight.
There are no error lights and all is well otherwise, so does anyone know under what conditions the hill hold activates (should it be a very steep incline) and if this function can be turned off.
My experience of Hill Holder is that it's worse than useless. Sometimes operates on a steep incline; sometimes doesn't. The result is that I don't know until I take my foot off the brake whether or not it's engaged......by which time it's too late! As far as I know you can't turn it off though.
If you ease pressure on the pedal you'll feel it kick back up if hill holder is engaged.
You can keep the rear brakes applied with the lightest of pressure on the pedal.
Does what it says on the tin.
Works fine, no issues, use it all the time.
Tried an experiments today to see under what conditions the Hill holder engages.
1. While braking and coming to a stop on hill with the clutch engaged the Hill holder does not engage when setting off.
2. While coasting to a stop on a hill without using the brake and then letting the car roll back very slightly then braking with clutch in I can feel the Hill holder working every time when setting off again.
