Four wheel alignment for the TI?
Well I've joined the ranks of mildly horrified 159/Brera owners shocked at how quickly my tyres have scrubbed themselves into early baldness.
12k miles in (not a particularly spirited driver)and I'm £1000 lighter after replacing all 4 Pirellis on my 2.2
I've been keeping a close eye on the front and have been surprised at how quickly they've worn in a car with such relatively low torque as the 2.2. Have to admit I failed to notice how low the rears were getting and after a trip to the garage for an unrelated issue a 'health check' showed both low with one illegal with almost no tear remaining.
How can this happen to the rear wheels of a front wheel drive car.
The long a short of it is that apparently I need all four to be aligned. This is a new one on me as I (stupidly) thought that the rear wheels had no 'play' and thus needed no aligning. I knew the problem with the front and had them tracked at 1000 miles altough that appears to have been fruitless as well.
Anyway any takers for where to get a four wheel alignment,a guess on cost and any points to mention? Cheers
