F***** Potholes!

The Mrs hit a pot hole yesterday and completly ruined one one of the tyres (onoly had my new TI alloys and tyres for 3 weeks!!!). So i am off to the garage this monring for them to check the car, hopefully it is only the tyre that is damaged!

I am after a straight replcement tyre Pirelli P Zero 235/40/19 as all the other tyres are Pirellis and brand new! the cheapest quote i've got is 209 fitted (194) delivered from BlackCircle. Does anyone know of any cheaper?

Check the Accelera tyres on ebay I bought it for 85 and its very good.

Also can you not claim it from tht area's council for not repairing the potholes

I will second the Accelera are REALLY good.

However you may not want to have differing treads!

Yeah rather than buying a Pirelli for over 200 buy two Accelleras and keep the pirelli you allready have for some other time.

I'd definately be seeking compensation from your local council - may as well get them to buy you a matching Pirelli !

Join the club, I hit one last night in the dark on the blind side of a bend, my tyre is just over a week old - having the new one fitted Friday !!*&!$* councils

I wouldn't mind but I've just forked out for a new lower suspension arm that I think was caused by potholes but don't know where I did it but this time I do.

I've seen the potholes.co.uk site and will be writing my letter tonight.

I'm tempted by Acceleras but my local tyre specialist says they're OK but a bit of a pig to balance correctly. Comments?

I'm inclined to stick with the Contis as I don't like mixing tyre makes and I only need 2 at the moment.

I'm finding myself driving very slowly on back roads just so I can keep an eye out for the *******s. The Alfa and me should enter the forthcoming Winter Olympics with the slalom.

Sorry to hear this and hope your wife doesn't feel too bad. It was happen to anyone. Get in contact with the council for payment.

And councils if you hear this, pull your finger out and stop wasting our Council Tax!

You guys should try riding a motorbike on the roads at the moment, you really do take your life in your hands. I find myself weaving all over the place trying to avoid them, at the moment I simply don't take the bike out at night as you can't see them.

Only a matter of time before a motorcyclist is badly injured or killed by a pothole, that would be a sad but interesting litigation case.
