I've just been listening to a report on Radio 4 which included an interview with the MD of Toyota UK. The tone seemed somehow familiar.

It seems that the problems with Toyota throttle and braking systems, which mean that they neither 'stop' nor 'go' wehen you expect them to, are not safety related problems at all but merely 'characterestics' of the car that their customers have perceived.

There must be an Automotive BS Academy from which these people must graduate before being allowed to work in Customer Service

Yes I heard that too.

I'm far from a fan of Toyotas (yawn!) but at least they are sorting out the problem.
