Brera/159 Strut braces

Has anyone bothered fitting a strut brace to the Brera or 159? I know you can get one for 90-odd from a main dealer.

I know the Brera/159 is highly rigid already so is there no point in dong this? Still, would tying the front suspension towers together in this way improve handling?

couldn't tell much about handling because I installed mine along with new suspension but as I understand from other people that have one a little improvement can be noticed.
also, if you go for one get the original alfa one cause I know 2 aftermarket variants that require engine cover to be taken off respectively some hoses to be rerouted in order to be installed.

I have a wiechers strut fitted that required, as toshy said, to remove de engine cover. It also touches a pipe from the AC unit(pointed by the arrow in the picture).

As an improvment I can't say felt anything until now because it was fitted in late december and roads were covered in snow eversince.
