The only stupid people on here are the ones rambling on about how great Acceleras are, then mock people who choose to buy premium brands
Now tell me who's stupid, the people mocking those buying premium brands, or the people who buy a premium marque car with 19" wheels and then brag about putting on the cheapest rubber they can find?
I suppose I'll go buy the cheapest oil i can find. Its also a dark yellow liquid, it says on the label its meets the standards, so it must be the same as the expensive stuff? I guess the expensive stuff is just overpriced then.
Then I'll go put on the cheapest halfords battery i can find. It starts the car once fitted, so i guess the Bosch silver batterys are just overpriced?
How narrow minded
(and before you try selling me some Acceleras, I'm happy on my Nankangs as that's the decision that was right for me)
Says the man who purchased the budget busting Nankangs - must be made of $$$$$$
At least be consistent with the point you are trying to make.
What we are sick to the back teeth of is people condeming tyres as being totally crap when they've not even used them and no nothing about them. I'm not going to tell you Nankangs are crap because i've never driven them but by your logic them must be because they don't cost nearly £300 a tyre. I'd be happy to try them though after your positive feedback
I'm not going to give anyone a view on the tyre you are using as you know far better than me whether they are good or not, as you live with them day in day out. Likewise a bit of reciprocated courtesy wouldn't go amiss from all our tyre 'experts' out there.
Show me all these 159 owners user Accelera's who are having problems with them? - all i'm hearing is positive feedback in the main but don't let that get in the way of your argument.
Narrow minded? - if that helps people live with the decision to blow £1100-1200 on 4 tyres so be it
Not one person has answered my point about whether they'll be buying the improved £500 pirelli / continental tyres when they come along for the extra ounce of claimed quality ?
I'm a firm believer in diminishing returns - we are driving a car with a 1.9 engine, pretty sedately most of the time.....when i buy the GranTurismo i might gofor that extra 2% of 'premium' tyre quality. I've pushed the 159 far harder than i ever normally would to try and find the limit of these tyres and i can't...that's enough for me.
I am as bored as the rest of you with this discussion but if people are going to make a product out to be crap, at least have the decency to try it first before you start chastising others who have done and found no problems whatsover with it.
